Al Wadi Palace

A high-security palace estate requiring resilient communications, network infrastructure and sophisticated physical security systems.

Resilient networks Perimeter security Private estate

Project Context

Working on behalf of the Crown Prince Affair’s Office (CPPO), the Al Wadi Palace, located in the Irqah district of Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) built on a 1.6sqkm prominent site and consists of a range of areas all lying within a comprehensive perimeter wall that includes golf courses, service zones, dedicated family buildings as well as support and technical areas.

From a network infrastructure and physical security engineering perspective, Al Wadi Palace would require a robust and reliable infrastructure to support the complex operations of a high-end complex. This includes comprehensive network design to ensure smooth communication across the expansive property, which spans over 1,200 acres.
Given its location in a remote desert area, the infrastructure will rely on resilient systems to ensure continuous connectivity, including backup solutions for power and data services. The physical security systems would need to be equally sophisticated, incorporating surveillance, access control systems, and intrusion detection, particularly given the sensitive nature and guest privacy required on the property.
